For more than 20 years Leslie's paintings have been widely respected for the atmospheric portrayal of landscape and marine work in all its varieties including yachts, large ocean going boats and many trawlers painted to commission. His paintings have been admired and collected at numerous exhibitions both in Britain and abroad.  Leslie's ability to portray subjects in both watercolour and oils has earned him considerable acclaim including one of his paintings being presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her Golden Jubilee.
